Our Story – A Journey of Faith, Love, and Resilience

Our journey together began in 1977 in Omaha, Nebraska, not far from where we both grew up in Iowa. From the start, our lives were full of adventure. We spent the first 15 years of our marriage moving around the country and raising two children. However, once we found Jesus, everything changed. Our family grew with the addition of two more children, and our lives took on new meaning and purpose.

As a family, we have faced tragic loss, battled addictions, and fought through numerous health challenges. We are passionate about sharing our stories and inspiring others to overcome life’s hurdles and find joy through faith in God. We continue to live our lives as a powerful example of hope, resilience, and unwavering love.

Meet Mike

Father. Husband. Travel Expert.

Hi, I’m Mike, or as my kids affectionately call me “The International Man of Mystery.” I’ve had a diverse and fascinating career that’s taken me around the world and immersed myself in various ministries. My mission is to inspire and motivate people toward personal growth, to have faith in God’s love, and to help them believe that a broken heart can heal.

I’ve worked for some of the biggest Fortune 500 companies including Mutual of Omaha, General Mills, Izod, Pepsi, and Disney. Additionally, I’ve collaborated with large church organizations and served on the boards of several nonprofits, mentoring and guiding exceptional leaders, pastors, and CEOs.

The death of our daughter, Alexis in 2001 was a defining moment for me. I had no grid for how to survive grief that deep. But God came alongside me and reminded me of his promise not to leave me in my time of need. He keeps on delivering on that promise.

When I’m not writing or speaking, you’ll likely find me traveling. Whether I’m fishing on an island full of grizzly bears in Alaska, biking through the Santa Ynez Valley, or hiking in the Canadian wilderness, I’m always in search of my next adventure. However, I think the most important and satisfying adventure you will ever take is the one within yourself.

Meet Robbie

Mother. Wife. Prayer Warrior.

Hi, I’m Roberta, but my friends call me Robbie. My greatest loves are my family, my faith, and Jesus. Despite facing many challenges, I’ve learned that with God, nothing is impossible. My mission is to encourage those who have endured trauma, loss, and health struggles, reminding them that everlasting joy, healing and forgivness is their birthright and that nothing is beyond God’s power.

Growing up on a small farm in Iowa, I learned early to appreciate nature. We didn’t have much, but our lives were filled with fun and laughter. I still cherish gathering with family and friends around the dinner table, sharing meals and the goodness of God.

At 40, I thought my dream of having more children was over, but God blessed me with two beautiful surprises. As a mother of four, life was busy, but I embraced the challenge. When we lost our youngest daughter, Alexis, to Trisomy-13, our hearts were broken. But we continued to witness miracle after miracle, and they haven’t stopped since.

My passion for God and healing led me to study at the Bethel of School of of Supernatural Ministry, and Charis Bible College. I’ve also studied Restore the Foundations, Prayer and Intercession, and served on the boards of the Rescue Missions in Santa Barbara + Redding, YWAM Hawaii, a crisis pregnancy center in Santa Barbara, and Omaha, Santa Barbara Rescue Mission and Good News Rescue Mission in Redding. Additionally, I helped found the Hope Center Omaha and I was part of the pastoral care team at Children’s Hospital in Omaha, NE, where I witnessed a man rise from a wheelchair through the healing power of power of God’s word.

I believe age is just a number, health and vitality are my mission, and I often tell my kids I plan to live to 120. Most mornings, you’ll find me at the beach, spending time with God as the sun rises or hanging out with crazy prayer warriors PRAY 30A in Santa Rosa Beach who pray for salvation, healing and deliverance for visitors to Florida. Or I’m working out in the CrossFit gym and believing that God wants me well.
